Giaco Schiesser
Giaco Schiesser is an author, theorist, editor and, since 2022, Prof. emeritus for the theories of cultures and media and for artistic research at Zurich University of the Arts/ZHdK. Since 2009, he is a visiting professor for artistic and scientific PhDs at the University of Art and Design Linz, Austria.
From 2000 to 2020, he served as a university board member, Director of the Department of Art & Media, and Head of Research at the Zurich University of the Arts, ZHdK. His work and publications focus on epistemology, aesthetics and art research/theories of cultures, media and subjects/democracy, public spheres and everyday culture.
